MELANOMA AND SKIN CANCER

Melanoma and Skin Cancer Care and Services at WPAHS

Skin cancer is a disease in which cancer cells grow in the tissues of the skin. There are two major groups:

Nonmelanoma skin cancers are by far the most common types of cancer, with more than 1 million new cases diagnosed annually, and most are highly curable.

Melanoma is much less common, but more serious. Melanoma is highly curable in its early stages, but may spread to other parts of the body.

The WPAHS offers advanced treatment for common and rare skin cancers, melanoma, cutaneous lymphoma, and other skin conditions experienced by cancer patients. Our specialists use advanced diagnostic imaging and molecular medicine for the most accurate disease staging and treatment planning available.
